Taylor is a Black Belt under Alain Pozo and has trained full-time for 12 years.

He is an ADCC European Trials Champion, IBJJF World Champion, 5 x IBJJF European Medallist and 14 x National Champion.

Taylor is a world class grappler who regularly competes internationally and has successfully coached his students to medal at National, European and World tournaments.

Alain is a 3rd Degree Black Belt under world renowned Jiujitsu practitioner Professor Ze Radiola. Alain was one of the first to teach and promote Jiujitsu in the UK and has been instrumental to its growth and popularity. He brings over 20 years of teaching and competition experience; he has run BJJ lessons in Colchester since 2008. Alain has awarded over 60 Blackbelts, many of whom are World Class athletes.

He is also co-owner of Reef Jiu-Jitsu in Chelmsford.

John is a Black Belt under Alain Pozo. He has trained since 2015. An active competitor, John has competed over 200 times; he has medalled at IBJJF Europeans and has experienced much success on the submission only grappling scene.

Tom Aylott is our early morning coach, bringing joy and potentially drum and bass to our early starts. Tom started Jiu-Jitsu in 2009 and is a black belt under Alain Pozo. He is a Masters multi-time National champion and UK National medallist at every belt colour.

Charlotte is a Brown Belt under Alain Pozo and Taylor Pearman, she has trained Jiu-Jitsu since 2018. An experienced children's Jiu-Jitsu coach, she is also an IBJJF London Open, National and European Champion.

Lois is a purple belt under Alain Pozo and Taylor Pearman. She is one of our most active and successful competitors. As a teen competitor, she was ranked number one in the UK. She has won multiple English and British titles as well as Silver and Bronze medals at IBJJF Pans.

Lois is 2 x IBJJF European and IBJJF National Champion and won a silver medal at the 2023 IBJJF European Championship. Lois has won 6 NAGA belts at advanced level.
